Checkers is now owned and loved by Wendy Gram.  His new name is Cash as in “Johnny Cash - The man dressed in black’.  He is a boy with a lot to say.  He likes to tell you what’s on his mind and wants to make sure you’re listening.  He’ll look you straight in the eyes and waits for your response!  He keeps doing thing to make us laugh. He tries to anticipate our next move!  Hence his name “Checkmate!”  Checkers is a striking reverse black brindle with tons of attitude!  He is from a breeding of Blackjack to Ava, Shadigee’s Moonlit Mirage, who is our Taylor, Ch. High River Taylor Made Of Backwoods, daughter. 

We had bred Ava’s litter sister, Jazmin, Shadigee’s Hidden Secret, to Blackjack a few years ago.  That litter produced Am/Can/UKC Ch. Shadigee’s Let It Ride, Ruger, and Am/ BPIG Can. Ch. Shadigee’s Lady Luck, Gabrielle.  Our of that litter we also have Shadigee’s HighRoller, Jailai who is a very handsome reverse black brindle boy.  We are expecting the same quality out of Ava’s litter as her sister Jazmin produced.

Out of this litter we also have Abigail, Shadigee’s Midnight Seduction and Hoss, Shadigee’s Gamblin’ Man.  We are looking forward to watching Checkers, Abigail and Hoss mature.  Watch for their ring debuts in the Spring time.
